Cool sixth plate tintype of either a woman dressed as a man or a somewhat effeminate young man. Our consignor bought this marked with a label that reads “Woman Dressed as Man?” but will let everyone decide for their selves.  In either scenario this is a great occupational outfit complimented with a small wheelhouse type hat and a prominent large square watch key on the outside of the wool vest. The image is in excellent condition with great tones and contrast and some hand tinting to the face. It is housed in half of a case.
